If you are a current or a former resident of the Pittsburgh Area, you are all too familiar with the Allegheny County Belt Route System. You probably drive or cross over one on your commute. These routes are part of the Pittsburgh road fabric. If you are moving to the Pittsburgh Area, you are going to need to know what the belts are. A good primer on the Belt Route System can be found here. The Belt Route System is used commonly when giving directions throughout Allegheny County. These pages are a spin-off of my Pennsylvania Ends Project and feature the ends of these belt routes. Two Belt Routes, blue and yellow, are complete loops. The other three routes have actual termini and they are documented here. Green Belt TerminiPage Created: August 10, 2002 Last Updated: August 10, 2002 (C) 2002 William Lawson
