Green Belt Ends
Terminus Northwest:
Emsworth
Terminus Southeast:
McKeesport
The Green Belt
is a 39 mile route that connects the North Hills to the Mon Valley while
running through the Morningside neighborhood of Pittsburgh and the East
Hills. It links Kennywood, the Pittsburgh Zoo and Ross Park Mall.
All Green Belt termini photos were taken by Denny Pine.
Camp Horne Road's intersection with
PA 65, Ohio River Blvd., in Emsworth serves as the northwestern end of
the Green Belt.
The terminus is complete with an 'END'
banner.
The southeastern end of the Green
Belt is in McKeesport at PA 148 which also carries the Yellow Belt.
After crossing the Duquesne-McKeesport Bridge, the Green Belt 'splits'
to have an end sign at both PA 148 North and PA 148 South.
End banner at the ramp to PA 148 North.
The Green Belt is the only belt route to have a terminus at another belt
route, in this case it is the Yellow Belt.
End banner located on PA 148 South
ramp. PA 148 South continues into McKeesport.
