Route:

Begins at US 1 in New Hill.
Leaves Wake County just south of the intersection with US
64.
That is, if it runs through Wake County at all.

Major
Intersections:
|
Old US 1 in "downtown" New Hill.
US 1 freeway about 1/2 mile south of that.

History:

751 is quite an old route number; the high number it sports is a clue to that. It was originally a spur off of NC 75 (today's Business US 15-501, University Dr.). First sighted around 1930, 751 runs right past Duke in Durham, but we'll keep it to Wake County.

Attractions:

New Hill, the smallest incorporated community in Wake County.
And the nuclear power plant, on the road (not signed as 751) past US 1.

Comments:

The comment under "route" about if 751 enters Wake County at all is due to the fact that about half of WC maps show 751 ending at 64, and the other half show it continuing to 1. The official NC map shows 751 ending at 64, so that must be the correct routing.
My suggestion: Sign 751 south to US 1. It would give Durham-ites another route to 1 (less congested, too) other than US 15-501. It would probably be faster, too.
