Pennsylvania Covered Bridges - Washington County
Sawhill Bridge
Along PA 221 in rural Western Washington County sits the Sawhill Bridge.  This 90 year old structure sits quietly in one of Western PA's most remote areas.  The Sawhill Bridge will recently be reconstructed; the remnants of 2004's Hurricane Ivan had heavily damaged the bridge, causing it to lean and making it unpassable.  A nearly $500,000 reconstruction project will rebuild the entire bridge from its foundation up.  (1)
