Bedford County is one of Pennsylvania's most scenic. Small towns and villages dot the pastoral setting. The county is well known for its rural charm and residents here take great pride in the fourteen covered bridges within the county. The county visitors bureau promotes a covered bridge tour, the tour highlights eight of the fourteen bridges and Gravity Hill. Also, the Bedford County Covered Bridge Society is very instrumental in the preservation and promotion of the county's bridges. |
