The Cleveland Roadtrip
July 23-30, 2000
Along I-90 just east of downtown Cleveland is a 35 mph curve (known locally
as Dead Man's Curve) with these big yellow signs to warn unsuspecting drivers.
More than a few people have crashed in this curve at one point or another.
(More info here.)
Chevron warning signs along the side of the road in the curve itself.
There are corresponding signs on the other side of the road.
This is the first warning sign for the curve, about 3/4 of a mile before
the curve itself.
The beginning of I-68 at I-70 in Hancock, MD.
The "bump" in the Ohio Turnpike, where I-80 and I-76 trade designations
along the Turnpike, is about 1/2 mile past this sign. 80 goes forward
as the Turnpike; 76 (formerly 80S) goes to Akron.
The junction of I-79 and the PA Turnpike. (Well, sorta.
Traffic has to navigate US 19 for a bit before getting on the Turnpike
proper.)
One of my favorite pictures. From eastbound OH 2 (the Shoreway to
locals), the Cleveland Browns Stadium and the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame
are both visible. The stadium is on the left, the Hall of Fame on
the right.
Really old US 20 and OH 237 shields on Clifton Blvd. in Lakewood, OH.
(And check out the white signs...how long have those been there??)
